Chris Carson Suffers Fractured Hip, Is Done for the Season
Carson is expected to be done for the year.
The Seattle Seahawks running back group has been bitten with the injury bug and unfortunately Chris Carson is its latest victim.
One week after turning in a career-high 133 yards and two touchdowns, Carson went down with a hip injury during the Seahawk’s 27-13 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. Following the game, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said he feared that Carson would not return in 2019. Further tests on Monday revealed the unwelcome, but expected news — Carson is done for the year.

What’s worse for the Seahawks, Carson’s backup C.J. Prosise suffered a broken arm in the same game Sunday and this comes one week after second-year tailback Rashaad Penny suffered his own season-ending injury.
Carson will finish his third season with 1,230 rushing yards (currently fifth in the NFL) and seven rushing touchdowns, good for 10th in the league. He also missed the majority of his rookie season with a broken leg.
The decimation of Seattle’s tailback depth has led to reports of former Seahawk running back Marshawn Lynch returning to the team where he had the best years of his career.
Marshawn Lynch and the #Seahawks are open to a reunion, and Lynch has told people he plans to travel to Seattle today to discuss it, sources tell me, @MikeGarafolo and @TomPelissero. #BeastMode could be back in Seattle.
