Closer Look at Chris Carson’s Injury Saturday
After what was the most impressive run of the day, Chris Carson came up gimpy and wasn’t able to return to the game on Saturday.

As you can see, as soon as the play was over he knew something wasn’t quite right, keeling over on his knees on the sideline in pain.

Chris Carson has said he is ‘good‘, but it will be interesting to see when he can return. He jogged off the field on his own strength which is a good sign, but the severity of the injury is yet to be disclosed.
After Carson stepped out, the depth chart at running back has become concerningly thin. Childs stepped in and performed well, but behind him is true freshman Jeff Carr and then Raymond Taylor, who I think should benefit the most should Carson be forced out more time.
If I were to guess, I would say he will likely return this weekend against Kansas State. But for the coaching staff, it will be important to not rush him back too early and make sure he is close to 100%. His status will be something to follow this week.
