Cowboy Baseball: Oklahoma State Alters Home-Opening Weekend Because of Weather
The Cowboys will play UT-Arlington on Sunday and Monday.
Icy weather has left much of Stillwater shut down over the past few days, and it’s also going to mess with Cowboy baseball’s home-opening weekend.
Oklahoma State and UT-Arlington will now play two games in O’Brate Stadium, starting with a 2 p.m. Sunday first pitch before closing the mini series with a game at 4 p.m. Monday.
The Cowboys are ranked 17th nationally, starting the season at 1-3 after four games at Globe Life Field in Arlington. OSU fell 6-5 to Clemson in the season opener before beating Louisville 12-3 the next day. The Cowboys closed the Shriners Children’s College Showdown with a 14-8 loss to Texas before sticking around in Arlington and playing Texas State on Tuesday, a game OSU lost 4-2.
UT-Arlington is 2-1, winning a season-opening series against UTSA last weekend. The Mavericks were supposed to play Oklahoma on Wednesday, but weather changed those plans.
