Cowgirl Basketball Promposal: Two OSU Kids Stole the Show on Saturday Night

Published

on

The big story coming out of Saturday was OSU men’s basketball taking down the Jayhawks in The Fieldhouse. But as the clock struck 7:30 that evening, Gallagher-Iba Arena watched the women’s squads face off.

The Cowgirls dominated the night and completed the day’s sweep with a 92-63 victory, but in between the first and second period as the kiss cam was making the rounds, the fans got a little extra surprise.

Here’s another angle.

Landry Gum is the son of women’s play-by-play announcer Kevin Gum, and been around and involved with the program for many years. You’ll see him at most, if not every, women’s home game supporting his team cheerfully, but Saturday night he stole the show as he “promposed” to the head ball coach’s daughter Jaci Littell.

No need to worry if older brother approves. Jon Littell, current okstate outfield, voiced his support afterwards on Twitter along with former Cowgirl star Tiffany Bias.

I loved this from coach after the game. It was cool to see him be a dad and give his little girl a hard time time when asked if he had any advice for Landry.

I know how nerve-wracking it can be to pull something like this off, and Landry handled it like a true champ. Wishing them the best at prom this year, and congrats from all of PFB on this special moment.
