OSU Bullets

• We’ve all been wondering – will OSU limit the seating options in the football stadium this fall? And the answer appears to be “yes”.

A source inside the athletic department told Pokes Report Oklahoma State plans on limiting the capacity of Boone Pickens Stadium to 25%. The current capacity of BPS is 55,509, so the athletic department and ticket office is looking at roughly 13,877. That number does not include the suites.

Tickets will be limited to season ticket holders only as there will be no single game tickets available. [Pokes Report]

Full details are supposed to be released to ticket holders per the report and student seating is to be limited as well.

• “Our Time” – the documentary about Oklahoma State Football on ESPN+ – is hardly a “Hard Knocks”-like show but it’s still fun to watch. PFB reviewed the second episode released yesterday if you don’t want to take the 13 minutes to watch it.

• This is a great TulsaWorld piece on just how unique Gundy promoting Kasey Dunn is from so many angles (pay, no substantial playcalling experience, promoting from within). Worth a read.

• Dez Bryant left Baltimore without a deal in place yesterday

• Two Cowboys made CBS’ pre-season All-American team – you can guess the two

• Prestige and having John Smith at the helm are huge strengths for Cowboy Wrestling but the fan support appears to be just as big for players. Also – here’s a podcast with Smith if you’re interested.

• This take by Nick Saban on second chances was pretty good, definitely thought-provoking. I like to bet long on people too but there’s a line somewhere when the inmates start to run the asylum.

Non-OSU Bullets

• These articles had some pretty stirring (and different) visual content: five finalists for Mississippi’s new state flag, Bill Murray’s face in famous paintings, and stock charts turned into landscape art
• Solid faith-based read about reading the Bible as fathers, brothers, and sons

Entrepreneur Patrick Collison on the value of reading:

“You could try to pound your head against the wall and think of original ideas or you can cheat by reading them in books.”
