Three Thoughts

• One of the first lines from Kyle Boone’s Night before Christmas (OSU edition) probably pointed out the biggest story alongside the stellar defensive play:

Who’d have thought then offensive line injuries would be so goshdarn drastic?

[PFB]

• Reading through OSU’s list of bowl games under Mike Gundy – one thought: Gundy rocks in San Antonio, stinks at the Cotton

• Yesterday was the 130th anniversary of Oklahoma State University – I’m personally grateful for all of the folks that have made this great institution (and it’s sports teams) something that’s been around longer than the state of Oklahoma.

Two Quotes

• John Helsley weighs in on who he thinks could replace Tylan Wallace as the go-to receiver in the Cowboy offense:

Braydon Johnson stands as OSU’s third-leading receiver this season, albeit with only 20 catches for 248 yards and one touchdown in what was supposed to be a breakout year for the speedy wideout. No breakout ensued.

Langston Anderson carries premium prospect pedigree and high marks from coaches, but hasn’t been able to stay healthy through two seasons on campus.

[Pokes Report]

• Seems like OSU is in a better place as a program 30 years later – I suppose we’ll confirm that next week.

One Question

• Holiday-flavored question here: Is the feeling of the last OSU football game of the season the adult-version of the feeling you got as a kid when you realized Christmas was over?
