OSU-Kansas tonight in GIA at 6 p.m. I’ll be covering it. We’re hosting a recruiting chat on the site at 11 a.m. Come back and join in if you have recruiting questions.
Hoops News
Travis Ford owns Kansas. No team has solved the Jayhawks recently like the Cowboys, with OSU the only squad to beat Kansas each of the past three seasons. At Gallagher-Iba, the Cowboys have won two straight over KU and four of the last six. [NewsOK]
“We haven’t played well in Stillwater, for the most part, since I’ve been here,” said Self, who is 3-5 there since joining Kansas in 2003-04. “We have to do some things better, the ball is sticking a little bit.” [AP]
Jeff Nerberry on how OSU beat KU last year: “We just pressured a lot and played desperate. We need to do that all the time. I tell guys that we don’t play desperate until we’re down. I can remember last year, we played desperate the whole game.” [O’Colly]
Right now, they’re the most efficient KU team on offense since the 2009-10 Jayhawks team that went 15-1 in the Big 12. [Tulsa World]
Ford: “I think this is one of the most dangerous teams that Kansas has had in a long time. That says a lot because they’re always the best in our league, so we have a tremendous amount of respect for them and understand the challenge in front of us.” [Go Pokes]
