Hoops News

The reasons OSU is not good at basketball right now are numerous. Travis Ford knows (and acknowledges) them all. [NewsOK]

Of all the relationships built within OSU sports over the years, the Tony Allen-Eddie Sutton one might be my favorite. [NewsOK]

It stings to hear Bill Self say this about a team in Oklahoma that isn’t Oklahoma State: “They’re good. They could win a national championship.” [NewsOK]

Some good memories from Berry Tramel on some of the OSU-KU classics over the years. Self said the 2005 OSU-KU game was the best ever. [NewsOK]

Football News

Gundy on his staff: “I think we’re in good shape, but you never know. It is too hard to tell because there is so much movement in our profession and people change their mind. I think we are in good shape. If something were to happen then we have to move forward to get quality people in here and keep them happy and try to keep stability in our coaching staff.” [Go Pokes]

Good question here: who is OSU’s backup QB next year? [CRFF]

Looking ahead to Oklahoma State’s non-conference opponents for 2016. [NewsOK]

We actually did run some good plays in the Sugar Bowl. I really enjoyed the fake toss/wheel to Carson. [CRFF]

We got two players on the Big 12 All-Bowl team. Not even sure how we got that many. [ESPN]

Around the Country

Yikes! Opponents who took on the Big 12 averaged 7.0 yards per play and 3.1 points per drive. They scored on 52 percent of their drives and punted on less than 30 percent. Oklahoma gave up the fewest points of any Big 12 team, and that was 37. [ESPN]

This made me laugh. Kyler Murray straight up for Trevor Knight. A&M got fleeced! [NewsOK]

Cool bowl photos here (including one of Laquon against OSU). [ESPN]

More PFB

Is Barry J. Sanders coming to Stillwater? Will it matter? [PFB]

Carson and I did a pod (finally!) He interviewed me about my story on our daughter and we traded some bowl game stories. [PFB]

E-Man, gone. Zero surprises. [PFB]

Seth Jacobs retires from football. [PFB]

Other stuff

I won’t post this again, but in case you missed it yesterday, here’s the story of our daughter dying over Christmas and how we got something greater in return. [Medium]
