Mason Rudolph and James Washington top the list of best fourth-year players returning… in all of college football. And they are likely to should get even better.

If Rudolph can improve his accuracy, Washington’s numbers are likely to be even better, as only 59.6 percent of short and intermediate passes (throws that traveled less than 20 yards through the air) targeting Washington were catchable last season. [ESPN Insider – $]

Note: Mason was No. 1 and Washington was No. 2 on the list.

The article notes something that’s insane: Rudolph’s short-to-mid game is pretty *Mike Gundy voice* average. If Mason can get timing routes and stop curls down, this thing gets real dicey for defensive coordinators.

Jazzy Jawun

A new draft destination for Jawun in a recent mock draft.

30. Jazz   Jawun Evans, PG, Oklahoma State
Evans is little and not necessarily a run-the-team point guard. But he’s so good in pick-and-roll situations that there’s no obvious reason he can’t become an instant-offense scorer off of somebody’s bench. [CBS Sports]

The Utah starter George Hill is an unrestricted free agent this summer, a solid insurance pick if he walks.

Gundy has figured out how to run a 200 person organization in such a way that the sum is 9-10 wins a year, very impressive.
