Daily Bullets (June 7): Everybody on the Same Page With OSU-NCAA
And it’s not one of agreement.

• Rob Dauster echoes what I said here: OSU’s punishment does not even come close to fitting the crime.
• Good nugget from Bill Haisten here on the appeals process.
There seems also to be a collective belief that in the appeal process, Oklahoma State might actually win a reversal on the postseason ban. On Friday, I considered that highly doubtful. After corresponding with various informed people on Saturday, it does feel more possible. [Tulsa World]
• Gary Parrish says Kansas, Arizona and Louisville are in some trouble if the punishment for Oklahoma State was this severe. I’ll believe that when I see it. Also, it’s amazing that everyone agrees here. Everyone! There’s not a single media member I’ve seen who disagrees that OSU was punished far too harshly.
• Jenni Carlson’s piece on all of this was excellent!
• Boynton was really, really good on Cade (and all of his players) on Friday.
• Kasey Dunn on being the only person of color at a coordinator spot in the Big 12.
“When you start breaking down the opportunities that minorities will have to be head coaches at some point, this is the progression, so for me, it’s a big deal,” Dunn said. “It’s a big deal because it opens up doors, I think, for other guys to get chances and opportunities now. Being the only coordinator in the Big 12, you know, it’s not a good percentage.” [NewsOK]
• OSU got a commitment on Saturday and at least one more is expected on Sunday as it starts to build its 2021 class.
• Wait, so the college football season could be over by Thanksgiving?
• Yo!
Just a friendly reminder that the University of North Carolina enrolled athletes (mainly basketball) in fake classes to keep them eligible. The NCAA knew.
The punishment?

• By the way, if you’re not yet involved on the Chamber — our forum — you should hop on over. Last few days have been absolutely insane (and fun), and we’d love to have you join the conversation.
