Norman Receiver Prospect Jaden Bray Commits to Oklahoma State

A sneaky good grab by OSU here.

Oklahoma State plucked a commitment Saturday from enemy territory, securing a verbal pledge from three-star Class of 2021 receiver prospect Jaden Bray out of Norman High in Norman, Oklahoma.

Bray, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound athlete, picked OSU over offers from Baylor, Iowa State, Arkansas, Kansas and others.

“I am blessed to say that I will be beginning great academic and athletic memories at Oklahoma State University,” he said on Twitter. “Thank you Coach Dunn and Coach Gundy for this opportunity. Go Pokes!”

Oklahoma State offered Bray in February and six programs — including Arkansas and Baylor — shortly followed suit. But OSU’s early entrance as just his third major college program to offer seems to have given the Cowboys an edge.

Last season for Norman High, Bray had 936 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns, averaging a whopping 23.4 yards per catch as a threat to score every time he touched the ball. His size and playmaking in particular pop on tape, as he leverages his frame to pick on smaller defenders the way Marcell Ateman could during his time at OSU.

Bray becomes the sixth commitment for OSU in its 2021 class and the lowest-ranked (for now) of the bunch. He’s just the second commitment on offense thus far and the first expected to play receiver for OSU.
