• OSU is going to start opening back up in less than a month, which is really good news if you’re invested in a college football season.
“While we cannot mitigate every risk, we must now pave the way to come back together safely, mindful our utmost priority is your health and safety,” OSU President Burns Hargis said in a statement Friday.
University leadership and the school’s COVID-19 advisory group are crafting reopening plans, which include considering classroom sizes, safety precautions in student housing and methods for monitoring “collective and individual health.”
OSU also plans to begin a phased reopening of campus starting June 1. [NewsOK]
• This is a great point and one I’ve been thinking about — are we going to be able to get everybody on the same page come the end of August?
• Terrific history lesson here on OSU’s plight into the Missouri Valley Conference and eventual return to the conference that would become the Big Eight back in the late 1950s.
“We had to get in or die,” Iba told The Oklahoman in 1987. “If we hadn’t made that move, I don’t know what would have happened to Oklahoma State. I don’t think we could have made it in athletics if we hadn’t gotten into the Big Eight. The Missouri Valley was fine, but we wanted to be associated with schools like ours.” [Oklahoman]
• Wow, this mock draft has Chuba Hubbard going 15th to Jacksonville.
• Oklahoma State is nearly as good at turning 2- and 3-star players into All-Conference guys as everyone else in the country is at turning 4-star players into All-Conference guys.
• I think I talked myself into OSU’s most recent basketball offer being a top-five pick in the NBA Draft in three years.
• Chad Weiberg is excited about the idea that OSU could help get the 2020 college football season going.
• Good stuff here from Robert Allen on Dan Bailey’s love for flying and how he’s spending his offseason.
• On Lindy Waters’ past and his future.
Growing up @LindyWatersIII didn’t have a Native American basketball role model, and he's out to change that for today's generation.

• I enjoyed this throwback listing the Oklahoma basketball players of the year going back to 1960. Dean Blevins!

• This can’t be real?
Embarrassing to read about threats to business owners & workers. We are better than this… If you won’t be careful for yourself then please do it for your family and for others! https://t.co/eggsMiUsQs
