Help Wanted

Could Oklahoma State be on the lookout for another offensive coordinator? He’s been mentioned as a desirable candidate for promotions in a recent ESPN piece.

He’s a really unique candidate — Mike Gundy found him on the internet while searching top-performing Division II offenses — and he has boosted production in Stillwater. Yurcich is a Cleveland native with ties to the Midwest and now the Big 12, so he could fit at a lot of places. [ESPN Insider $]

Yurcich has been a bit polarizing amongst Oklahoma State fans but he found a quarterback and he’s put up some points with him.

When the time calls, here’s the link to D3 offensive stats, Gundy.

Brick by Brick

Mike Gundy has been dropping comments like this for years but pointedly made the following remark to give context for program trajectory.

“We’ve committed to football for about the last 10-12 years. OK? And in the last eight we started building tradition in football. Most of these people, how long has Michigan had tradition? How long has Notre Dame had tradition? How long has OU? How long has Texas? Long time. So we’re working.” [TulsaWorld]

Rome wasn’t built in a day and changing your blood (to blue) will take some time, barring an act of the good Lord.

Is it safe to say Jawun was an elite finisher at Oklahoma State?

One day until college basketball gets here – and you can’t convince me it doesn’t make sense to start in January (unless you’re a KU fan).

Oh to be the Big Man on Campus at Eastern Washington.
