Daily Bullets (Oct. 1): Tylan’s Start, Offense Rolls, Soccer Loses Bedlam

I’m back! After a week of submersing myself in Ryder Cup coverage, I’ll be with you for the remainder of 2018. Let’s get right to the news for today.

How Good is Tylan?

I enjoyed Mark Cooper writing about Tylan, what he’s done and how that compares to those who have gone before him.

Tylan Wallace caught four passes for 104 yards and a touchdown in the win over Kansas, numbers that actually caused his season averages to decline. He became the second underclassman in OSU history to surpass 100 yards receiving in four consecutive games. Justin Blackmon is the first. [Tulsa World]

Turmoil in Stillwater?

I always enjoy RA holding the media in one hand and OSU’s team and performance in the other. Anyway, he was pleased with how the offense played and thought Corndaddy looked great.

Fans last week continued to moan and groan about quarterback and how Taylor Cornelius is not the guy. The team needs a spark and Gundy needs to make a change at quarterback. Gundy has preached patience, almost self pep talked himself to be patient. Cornelius’ numbers are good, really good as far as third in the conference in passing and total offense going into the game. He slipped to fourth in total offense as OU’s Kyler Murray passed him, but he remains third in passing.

Amazing, with some radio mouths talking about disarray and conflict inside the walls of Oklahoma State football, especially the offense, the product on the field Saturday sure looked better than a week ago. [Go Pokes – $]
