OSU Bullets
• OSU has effectively joined the Red River rivals as conference championship game favorites
– In power rankings like this – and in Vegas odds like this
• OSU-Texas will be on big time TV – it’s just being decided next week
• These two quotes about the OSU defense will have your heart pumping this AM:
With the way Jim Knowles’ defense is playing right now, is there a team in the Big 12 they can’t hold to less than three touchdowns?

If not for the turnovers this game would have been well in hand for the Cowboys. Defensively this team is on another level. Outside of one long touchdown run, this defense completely shut down the Baylor offense. All I know is that Oklahoma State is 5-0 and they are a serious Big 12 title contender after Saturday.

• Jaylen Warren was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week… again.
• ProFootballFocus named Collin Oliver their true freshman of the week
• This was pretty cool – OSU has a freshman pitcher – Jacob Bookout (yep, those OU Bookouts, Casey’s son). Kind of a deep cut here but had no idea that Taylor Cornelius was related to the Bookouts too.
• We’re playing with the numbers a bit on comments like this but this is an impressive statement on the Cowboy Defense:
Non-OSU Bullets
• Americans check their phones 96x per day ???
• Loved this (faith-based) review of Friday Night Lights and why the show was significant

The direction is enough to make the next choice.”
