Delaware Transfer, Four-Star Forward John Camden Puts OSU in Top Six
Camden could add size and perimeter shooting for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys have made the cut for another scoring threat in the transfer portal.
Former Delaware forward John Camden announced his top six on Friday, and the Cowboys were featured along with Purdue, Mississippi State, SMU, Cal and GCU. He entered the transfer portal March 31.

Camden would fulfill the ever-present scoring need for the Pokes, as well as couple others: size and 3-point shooting. The 6-foot-8, 220-pound small forward shot 41.6% from deep, making 2.7 deep balls per game last year.
After three years of spot duty at two different stops, Camden broke out during his single season at Delaware. He averaged 16.8 points per game, 5.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists as a redshirt sophomore, starting all 36 games for the Fightin’ Blue Hens and making the All-CAA Second Team. He also led Delaware to the CAA Tournament Final as a 12 seed.
Before that he spent two years at Virginia Tech where he played in 37 total games and averaged six minutes and 1.5 points per game. He started his career at Memphis but appeared in just one game before going down for the season with injury.
Steve Lutz has already landed a group of proven scorers for his backcourt via the portal in Kanye Clary (Mississippi State), Isaiah Coleman (Seton Hall), Anthony Roy (Green Bay) and Vyctorius Miller (LSU). If he can land Camden, he’ll have another scoring option with perimeter range, but now with frontcourt size.
