A top 50 recruit in the 2024 recruiting class is set to spend his sophomore season in Stillwater.

LSU transfer Vyctorius Miller is transferring to transfer to Oklahoma State, according to multiple reports. ESPN considered Miller the No. 45 player in the 2024 recruiting class. He played in 25 games and made five starts at LSU this past season and averaged 8.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists a game.

“VJ comes from a successful family who have given him a great foundation for success,” said Steve Lutz in OSU’s release. “He’s a hard-working, highly skilled, competitive guard with great size and unlimited potential. He has a chance to be an impact player for us in the Big 12 on day one.”

Other teams interested in Miller via the portal included Kentucky, Memphis, USC, UCLA, Tennessee, Houston, Michigan State and others, according to 247Sports hoops analyst Travis Branham.

A 6-foot-5, 185-pound guard from Los Angeles, Miller scored in double figures 11 times as a freshman, including putting up a season-high 20 against Mississippi Valley State back in December. He shot 32% from 3 on 88 attempts this past season. That’s a similar volume and percentage to Bryce Thompson during the 2023-24 season (34% on 90 attempts). Miller shot 45% from the field and 73% from the foul line.

ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals and On3 all considered Miller a four-star prospect coming out of high school. He spent his final two seasons of high school ball with Arizona Compass Prep. He initially committed to Oregon as a prospect before LSU won him over. He also had offers to Oklahoma State, USC, Kansas State, Auburn, Texas Tech, Arizona State and others.

That jump from LA to Baton Rouge might initially seem a little strange, but Miller has ties to the Bayou. His father is Vyshonn Miller, better known as Silkk the Shocker, a rapper from New Orleans. Percy “Master P” Miller is Vyctorius’ uncle.

Branham evaluated Miller in November of his senior season of high school and wrote that Miller is “wired to score the basketball” and that with time, he can “become a multi-year college starter that can be relied on as a primary scoring option for a high-major team.”

Miller is Steve Lutz’s fourth transfer portal pickup this offseason, joining fellow guards Kanye Clary (Mississippi State), Isaiah Coleman (Seton Hall) and Anthony Roy (Green Bay).
