Emmanuel Ogbah Named Co-Defensive Big 12 Player of the Year
Emmanuel Ogbah was named co-defensive Big 12 player of the year on Wednesday along with Baylor’s Andrew Billings. Strangely, Ogbah was not named defensive lineman of the year. Billings took that award as well.
According to Mark Cooper, this is the first DPOY award ever for an Oklahoma State player.
#OKState DE Emmanuel Ogbah and Baylor DT Andrew Billings are Big 12 co-defensive players of the year. First time OSU has had a Big 12 DPOY.

Here’s a look at all the winners.
Here are Ogbah’s stats (compared to Joey Bosa who was an All-American ahead of him).
The guy on the bottom made 1st team All-American. The guy on the top made second. Sweet. pic.twitter.com/UazJDikscG

A pretty cool honor for both No. 38 and his university. Especially given Ogbah’s attitude all season about individual honors.
I'm not worried about any individual awards, I'm worried about 9-0!!! #gopokes
