Fordham Center Joel Soriano to Meet with OSU, per Report
Soriano is 6-11, 250 pounds.
Monday I wrote about 11 players who OSU has ties to this late in the recruiting cycle, whether it be upcoming freshmen or transfers, and a decent chunk of that list has since committed elsewhere.
However, the transfer portal just keeps producing this year, and Oklahoma State is linked with another player in it. Adam Zagoria reports that Fordham big man Joel Soriano is set to virtually meet with OSU on Tuesday.
Soriano is a New York native, like OSU coach Mike Boynton, and he is listed at a powerful 6-foot-11, 250 pounds. A sophomore at Fordham this past season, Soriano averaged 10.4 points and 9.2 rebounds a game.
OSU has been after a big man to add to its ranks. Other bigs to watch at this point are Western Carolina’s Xavier Cork, New Mexico’s Bayron Matos and Jonas Aidoo, the No. 60 prospect in the 2021 recruiting class.
It looks like Boynton is also after at least one guard as well, having reportedly reached out to guys such as ETSU’s Damari Monsanto, Prairie View A&M’s Jawaun Daniels, Kentucky’s Cam’Ron Fletcher, and incoming freshmen Tyty Washington, Tamar Bates and Jalen Ricks.
