Grayson Boomer Taking Active Role Recruiting for Oklahoma State

Published

on

Four-star Collinsville tight end Grayson Boomer pulled the trigger on Bedlam day, committing to Oklahoma State over more than a dozen other high major programs.

Since his pledge to be a Cowboy, Boomer has taken on an active role on social media by recruiting some of OSU’s top targets, including five-star Dax Hill, the younger brother of Justice Hill, as well as four-star 2019 defensive end Marcus Hicks out of Wichita.

“I think I can land him, I hope,” Boomer said of Hicks and his ongoing effort to recruit the star prospect. He added that he hopes Dax joins “right away, so everyone will look at OSU.”

“Coach Gundy said he wants the 2019 class to be the best recruiting class to ever come through Oklahoma State,” said Boomer, who also teased that he’s working on flipping a top prospect in the 2019 class already committed.

Soooo .. who might that be, you ask?

???

I could list you 20 names in and around Oklahoma, but my suspicion is that Boomer is working hard on Houston area QB Grant Gunnell, a four-star 2019 gun-slinger who had OSU on his long list of offers before committing to Texas A&M in June.

Gunnell and Boomer have a tight connection and the two have linked up on several occassions for recruiting visits, including a Stillwater trip back in April. Here’s a photo with Boomer (chain around the neck) and Gunnell (#7) from that visit. Also included in this mix: 2019 DT target Gerald Irons III (#1) and four-star 2019 WR Jalen Curry, a Florida State pledge (#2).

Gunnell and Boomer also have a connection on the gridiron, too as the two worked out for The Opening together in New Orleans. Swoon!

If Boomer can make an impact on any number of these OSU targets — especially Dax Hill or Demariyon Houston– OSU could have a shot at having an all-time recruiting class in 2019.
