How Good Were We at Predicting Oklahoma State’s 2015 Season?
For the last eight years, OKC Dave has put out his excellent preseason survey about Oklahoma State football. You can read the results of the 2015 survey here. I thought it would be fun to go back and look at what we collectively predicted before the games began and how that matched up with the final results.
Predicted Wins
For the fourth time in six years, we predicted that OSU would win fewer games than it actually ended up winning. We are rational![1. Or we’re just pessimistic.]
Order of Difficulty
This is our confidence level of winning each game. Remember when we thought the TCU game would be a lot more difficult than the OU game?
Poll Results
We need to work on our wins-ranking correlation here, people. We underestimated on wins and way overestimated on ranking (OSU finished No. 20 in the AP Poll).
Breakout Player
We got close on offense with Washington. Burton is probably the correct answer on defense depending on what we mean by “breakout.”
All in all, our predictions were pretty good. We will look at some more specific ones from me and Kyle Boone later this week or next. Those wont’ be as pretty.
