We interrupt your regularly scheduled portal commitments to share a commitment from the high school ranks.

Washington (Oklahoma, not the state) running back Javen Hall announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Listed at 6-foot, 210-pounds, Hall is unranked at his commitment, but he’s been on OSU’s radar for a little bit, even under the old regime. He visited Stillwater during the weekend the Cowboys played Baylor (Sept. 27) this past season.

Hall had also announced offers to Sewanee (D-III), Graceland (NAIA) and Panhandle State (NAIA).

The 2025 season appears to be Hall’s first in the state of Oklahoma, as he was previously at Walker Valley in Cleveland, Tennessee. He was a first team all-region selection at Walker Valley as a junior in 2024.

Behind Hall, Washington went 12-2 this past season, falling to Jones in the 2A-1 state finals.

Hall joins Jenks’ KD Jones as high school running backs committed to be Cowboys under new running backs coach Patrick Cobbs.

The running back room has been entirely rebuilt this offseason after 2025 starter Rodney Fields transferred to Kansas State. OSU has taken three running backs out of the portal in Caleb Hawkins (North Texas), Ayo Adeyi (James Madison) and Tre Page III (Tarleton State).
