Jawun Evans Named Honorable Mention AP All-American

There are innumerable lists for All-Americans. Sporting News, USBWA, NABC and CBS Sports all have All-American squads. But the grandaddy of them all is the Associated Press. It is the All-NBA of college hoops All-American teams, and Jawun Evans made the squad on Tuesday (sort of).

Evans was named honorable mention by the Associated Press for the season he just had which included per game averages of 19.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.8 steals. He was one of 38 named to the honorable mention group.

Evans was one of 17 players named to at least one of the four All-American teams (Sporting News’) that make up the “consensus All-American” team. He has declared for the NBA Draft although it is not presumed that he has hired an agent yet.
