Jhajuan Seales Returns From One-Game Suspension After Second Arrest
Mike Gundy said this when asked if Jhajuan Seales would play against TCU.
“Yes. We suspended him last week. He made a terrible decision.”
He’s not the only one.
A one-game suspension for a player who was busted a second time for being drunk in a public setting in back-to-back years. And he gets one game? And returns for the biggest game of the year? That’s not a great look.
You won’t find a bigger supporter of Mike Gundy than me, but I’m not a fan of this. It’s strange, too, right? Gundy almost always falls on the disciplinary side of things.
This will likely get swept under the rug because Seales ins’t a star and the actual game against TCU is going to be massive (even nationally), but for posterity, I wanted to say that I’m opposed to the decision.
It’s true that we don’t know everything that goes on internally at OSU (or anywhere) and I’m sure Gundy made him do the StairMaster for 384 hours (approximate), but it’s difficult from this side to see the justification here.
At the very least, I would like a deeper explanation.
