Junior College DE Azur Kamara Names OSU Among Final Five Schools
Three-star junior college pass rusher Azur Kamara is narrowing down his college choices and apparently nearing a decision.
The Arizona Western product announced on Sunday that he’s whittled his choices to five schools — among them are Utah, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Florida State and Iowa State. The only shocker here being that he’s dropped Louisville, the presumptive favorite in his recruitment, from consideration.

Kamara is a 2018 prospect who holds 20 scholarship offers and has long been on OSU’s radar even before the start of the season. He’s a former teammate of OSU junior linebacker Patrick Macon at Arizona Western, a connection that could play into the Cowboys favor in the end.
OSU has just two commitments at defensive end in 2018 in Tyler Lacy, a high school senior, as well as junior college prospect Michael Scott. So with the prospect of adding Kamara to the fold, OSU could reasonably replace Tralund Webber and Vili Leveni while potentially redshirting Lacy as a freshman in 2018.
Kamara has made just one official visit thus far to Oregon State, but with OSU in the mix, expect the Pokes to earn an official visit in the coming weeks before a decision is handed down.
