Justin Blackmon Sponsors Youth Football Camp in Hometown of Ardmore

Written by Thomas Fleming

Former Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon hosted a youth football camp in Ardmore Sunday afternoon.

Blackmon, alongside former teammates Josh Stewart and Tracy Moore, helped with the camp during drills and scrimmages. He also stayed afterward to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.

Blackmon, a former fifth-overall pick, played his last NFL game in October of 2013. The two-time Biletnikoff Award winner only played 20 games in the league before a number of DUIs and suspensions all but prevented any return to professional football.

Blackmon currently lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and has made few public appearances since his string of suspensions.

He’s not driving the kids to the camp is he?

Good to see him doing something positive.

Getting out of Ardmore should be good for him.

    Great recruiting vehicle!

He’s made a lot of questionable decisions, but Crocs may be the biggest offense. Seriously though, I’m really glad to see some positive news. He’s still young and has his whole life in front of him.
