Kansas City Chiefs Waive Former OSU Safety Jordan Sterns

The Kansas City Chiefs have waived former OSU safety Jordan Sterns to make room for newly-signed defensive tackle Roy Miller, the team announced on Thursday.
Sterns sat out a big chunk of training camp dealing with an illness, and his absence may have played a factor in the decision.

Sterns, 23, signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent this spring. After a productive four-year career at OSU manning the Cowboy secondary, many believed him to be a steal as an undrafted player who enjoyed a productive career at the Division I level with 328 tackles and five interceptions in four years.
Because Sterns’ release from Kansas City is likely a result (in part) because of an untimely sickness, don’t be surprised to see him get picked up elsewhere and make a push to land on a 53-man roster somewhere before football season starts.
