Mason Rudolph Changes Number From 10 to 2, Baker Mayfield Approves

All the Mason Rudolph headlines! He’s 50-1 to win the Heisman, he’s going to Manning Camp and now he’s changing his number.
Rudolph posted the following photo on Instagram on Wednesday night, noting the change from No. 10 to No. 2.
On the Oklahoma State website, Caleb Muncrief is still No. 2 on offense. Maybe Rudolph bought him Chick-fil-A or a year’s supply of blueberry donuts from Red Rock to initiate the switch.
Baker Mayfield (who is dating an Oklahoma State soccer player, apparently) approved of the move.

As Weston Shepherd pointed out on Twitter, this was a bit disconcerting at first for those of us who are superstitious.
@pistolsguy: I'm a superstitious fellow. Should we have anxiety about Mason changing jersey numbers? Momentum was being established..

But then I remembered that Brandon Weeden made a similar number change (from No. 4 to No. 3 — thanks for the memories, Alex Cate) and that worked out OK, didn’t it?
Also, Zac Robinson switched from No. 1 to No. 11 and Clint Chelf from No. 1 to No. 10. Or so says College Football Reference. Here’s my numbers college QBs wear, ranked:
11
12
10
2
1
8
7
9
3
6
The most famous No. 2 in recent memory? Oh yeah.
