Mason Rudolph Sets All-Time Record for Touchdown Passes in a Career

Published

on

Coming into the West Virginia game, Mason Rudolph needed one TD pass to tie Brandon Weeden’s all-time school record of 75 touchdown passes and two to pass it. He needed one total TD (rushing or passing) to tie Zac Robinson’s all-time total TD record of 88 in a career and two to pass that one.

He got the first in the first quarter to James Washington on a slant route over the middle for six. Then he got total TD No. 2 at the end of the first on a rush at the goal line. That one put him past Robinson.

Here’s a look at all-time rushing + passing TDs.

Player Total TDs
Mason Rudolph 90 (and counting)
Zac Robinson 88
Brandon Weeden 76
Mike Gundy 66
J.W. Walsh 61
Barry Sanders 60

Then in the third quarter, Rudolph hit J.D. King with this pass to become the all-time king in passing TDs with 76.

Here are the top five in school history.

Player TD Passes
Mason Rudolph 76 (and counting)
Brandon Weeden 75
Zac Robinson 66
Mike Gundy 57
Josh Fields 55

An incredible moment that will be one of the many exclamation points on what has been an incredible career.
