Mike Gundy Reacts to His College Football 26 Avatar
‘Wait until my high school buddies see that — they’ll be lighting me up.’
FRISCO, Texas — The new college football video game released this week, and unlike last year, the coaches are in the game now.
Gavin Gundy, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy’s son, posted a picture of his dad’s likeness in the new game, and it’s … something.

Something about it deep down in there slightly resembles Gundy — if you close one eye and squint the other. Mullets apparently aren’t in the game, though, so EA game him an even wilder hairdo. Here’s what Gundy said about his avatar after being shown it Wednesday morning:

“That, for sure, says I have a full head of hair,” Gundy said. “They got me all, like, muscled up. I’m not that muscled up. That’s awesome.
“Wait until my high school buddies see that — they’ll be lighting me up.”
Gundy was also asked about his avatar while he was on the big stage at Big 12 Media Days, where he joked he wishes his “royalties off it were were as much as the players.”
