Next Up: How OSU Recruits Fared in Week 7

Published

on

CJ Moore stepped up big on defense (yes defense!) and Jahmyl Jeter continued his 10 yards per carry pace this weekend. Here’s how OSU recruits performed in week 7.

Spencer Sanders, Quarterback

Spencer Sanders has thrown for over 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns through six games this year. Sanders will look to build on those numbers coming out of their bye week this past weekend as the Ryan Raiders look to make a push to the state championships as one of the best teams in Texas’ 5A classification.

CJ Moore, Wide Receiver

Union beat Norman North 45-31 last week to remain undefeated. CJ Moore did not catch any touchdowns, but did have an interception in a rare defensive appearance. The interception came with Union trailing by 4 points right before halftime and helped swing the momentum back in their favor. Moore also wore #11 last week instead of his usual #35 to honor injured teammate Keviyon Cooper.

Jahmyl Jeter, Running Back

Brennan rocked San Antonio Holmes last week 44-3. Jeter was used sparingly but efficiently in the blowout, getting just six carries but going for 60 yards and three touchdowns, including an 8-yard score. Jeter is averaging right at 10 yards per carry for the season.

Jonathan Shepherd, Wide Receiver

Kilgore threw the ball just nine times in a 50-20 loss to defending state champions Carthage and Shepherd caught three of their five completions for 30 yards. Texas running back commit Keaontay Ingram ran for 269 yards for Carthage.

Gabe Lemons, Athlete

Coppell defeated Lake Highlands 49-35 last week. Lemons plays both ways for the Cowboys and had three catches on offense and five tackles on defense. His three catches went for 45 yards and two touchdowns.

Jaelyn Nolan, Athlete

Nolan is still out with a knee injury and Brownfield suffered a 16-12 loss to Denver City.
