Next Up: Spencer Sanders and JayVeon Cardwell Shine in Week 10
Spencer Sanders showed off his dual-threat ability, most guys were inactive and we introduced some defensive players to the list this week.
Here’s what went down in Week 10 action.
Spencer Sanders, Quarterback
After a slow start, Denton Ryan defeated Denison 56-16 to remain unbeaten. Spencer Sanders threw for 201 yards and three scores on 15-of-32 passing. The most impressive stat of the night was Sanders’ 110 yards and two touchdowns on the ground including an extremely impressive hurdle and juke. I think Sanders miiiiight be a tad more athletic than Mason Rudolph.

CJ Moore, Wide Receiver
Moore was used sparingly in a 48-28 regular season finale win over Mustang last week. Tulsa Union will be favorites to repeat as state champions and will face Calvin Bundage’s alma mater Edmond Santa Fe in the first round of the playoffs this week.
Jahmyl Jeter, Running Back
Jahmyl Jeter did not play in Brennan’s 41-6 win over San Antonio Marshall last week after tweeting out that he was undergoing surgery last Tuesday. It is unknown if Jeter will return this season. The Bears have one more game before playoffs start.
Surgery tomorrow morning coming back stronger then ever????

Jonathon Shepherd, Wide Receiver
Shepherd recorded no catches in a 49-35 loss to Center. Kilgore runs a run-dominant offense which has left Shepherd with little production this year.
Gabe Lemons, Wide Receiver
Before a weekend visit to Stillwater for Bedlam, Lemons caught one ball for 19 yards on offense while helping to shut down Dallas Skyline on defense. Coppell defeated Skyline 31-19 to clinch its first district title since 2013. The Cowboys will take on Richardson in next week’s season finale.
Blake Barron, Linebacker
Rockwall dominated Mesquite 45-7 last week to move to 4-5 on the season. Barron had six solo tackles and two assisted tackles with three tackles for loss. The Yellow Jackets clinched a playoff spot after a John Tyler loss last week.

Tyler Lacy, Defensive End
Sachse defeated Garland Naaman Forest 27-7 last week to advance to 9-0 on the season. Lacy had nine tackles, one of which was a solo tackle. The Mustangs get a tune up against South Garland next week before the playoffs start.
Kanion Williams, Safety
Williams had two tackles in a 34-21 South Oak Cliff win over Samuell. SOC moves to 7-2 and has clinched a playoff spot.
Jayveon Cardwell, Cornerback
Cardwell played a big role in helping Cibolo Steele move to 5-4 and closer to a playoff spot. The speedster had an interception, returned for 22 yards, and five tackles in a 31-14 win over Wagner.
A coach told us @JayVeon003 was too slow with 4.45 speed. What do you think? #GoPokes #Cowboy?1️⃣8️⃣ ??? pic.twitter.com/k8mSZDZTpk
