NFL Draft: Collin Oliver Selected in the Fifth Round by Green Bay Packers
Oliver leaves as OSU’s No. 5 sack leader.
The Cowboys’ most potent edge rusher is headed the Pack.
OSU linebacker/defensive end Collin Oliver was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He was taken 159th overall.
The Oklahoma native led the Cowboys in sacks his first three seasons in Stillwater — and probably would have again had his senior season not been shortened due to injury — despite playing under three different defensive coordinators and changing from defensive end to linebacker, mid-career.
Oliver was named a Freshman All-American and Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2021 after tallying 11.5 sacks, a freshman record at OSU.
Oliver’s swan song at OSU was cut short when he sustained a lower leg injury in the Cowboys’ Week 2 win over Arkansas. He finished his career with 134 tackles, 42 tackles for loss and 23.5 sacks. That ranks fifth all-time on OSU’s sack list.
Oliver is the second Cowboy to be taken off the board, joining fellow OSU defender Nick Martin, who was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round.
