Oklahoma State Golf Gets No. 1 Seed at Texas Regional
Oklahoma State’s golf team received one of six No. 1 seeds handed out to teams this week and will head to the Texas Regional at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin.
The top five teams from each regional advance to the NCAA Championship at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois. The regionals will be played May 15-17. OSU has won a regional 11 times since 1989 and has appeared in every NCAA Championship since its inception as a program in 1947 except for the 2012 edition.
“No. 1 seed for regionals is really cool,” said Jack Nicklaus Award semifinalist Zach Olsen on Thursday. “It means you’ve played well the whole year as a team. Although in the regional there’s no special score bonus, it is nice to know you’re the best team there.

Oklahoma State has four wins and three runners up in 11 tournaments so far this year. They are ranked No. 2 in the country although they just got beat by one stroke at the Big 12 Tournament by none other than … Texas.
