Oklahoma State Offensive Lineman Jake Springfield Announces Return for 2024
Another one.
Make it a quartet of Cowboy offensive linemen who have announced returns for the 2024 season.
Jake Springfield, Oklahoma State’s starter at right tackle, is the latest to go Terminator at say he’ll be back. He joins Joe Michalski, Cole Birmingham and Dalton Cooper as Cowboy linemen to proclaim their intentions to stay with the Pokes next season. Springfield is able to return for a sixth season in Stillwater because of the pandemic.

Listed at 6-foot-5, 323 pounds, Springfield started 11 games for the Cowboys this season. He played 687 snaps, per Pro Football Focus, where he allowed one sack and 13 pressures.
Springfield started his career in Stillwater as a walk-on out of Flower Mound High School (Texas). After redshirting in 2019, Springfield started nine games at left tackle for OSU as a redshirt freshman in 2020. He had the fourth-most snaps among Cowboy offensive linemen that year. He made seven starts in OSU’s Fiesta Bowl-winning 2021 season, playing in all 14 of the Cowboys’ games. He started all 13 of OSU’s games in 2022, where Springfield was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.
