Jackson excels as a receiver and return man in Louisiana.

Louisiana has turned into fertile recruiting ground for Mike Gundy and Co., and the Cowboys headed back to the Bayou State with a recent offer.

Keshlon Jackson, a 2022 wide receiver prospect, announced an Oklahoma State offer Wednesday.

Who Is He?

Jackson is a 6-foot, 170-pound speedster for Lake Charles College Prep in Louisiana.

He had 27 catches for 435 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore in 2019. He is also a deadly return man for the Trailblazers, taking two kickoffs back for touchdowns. He even played a little quarterback for Lake Charles Prep, a team that went 8-4 last season and made it to the second round of the Louisiana 3A playoffs.

Not saying he is as good as Dez Bryant, but that’s the type of player he is for the Trailblazers in that he is a vertical threat while also being tough to guard with his growing size in the red zone.

Others Involved

Entering his junior season, Jackson has a handful of solid Power Five programs after him.

He has offers from Virginia, Kansas State, Michigan State, Colorado, South Alabama and Memphis.

In the Rankings

Rivals and 247Sports each list Jackson as a three-star prospect early in the 2022 rankings, and 247Sports lists him as the No. 60 receiver in the class.

Jackson ranks 535th in the composite rankings and 70th among 2022 wide receivers.

Pokes in the Bayou

I wrote about this a few months back, but the Cowboys are moving more and more into Louisiana, and that trend continues with Jackson’s offer.

OSU’s lone pledge in the 2022 class is safety De’Kelvion Beamon out of Shreveport. Jackson is the fifth 2022 prospect OSU has offered from Louisiana.
