Steve Lutz still has two spots open on his 2025-26 Cowboy basketball roster, and he could be closing in on filling one of those openings.

Oklahoma State has extended an offer to Daniel Guetta, a 6-foot-2 guard from Israel, according to Yuval Shaham. Guetta played with Maccabi Rehovot this past season in Israel, where he averaged 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists a game while shooting 35% from 3-point range.

In 35 games with Maccabi Rehovot this past season, Guetta scored in double figures 14 times and had at least five assists in 18 games. He put up a season-high 24 points on April 18 in a game where he went 9-for-20 from the field and 3-for-6 from 3-point range while also dishing out seven assists. He had a 10-point, 12-assist double-double in a game in December.

Guetta will be 22 years old in August, according to Eurobasket.

It’s still early in Lutz’s tenure, but he has shown he isn’t afraid to look across the pond for talent. Last offseason, Lutz brought over Andrija Vukovic from Serbia. Lutz has added Lefteris Mantzoukas from Greece this offseason while also adding Oregon State transfer Parsa Fallah (originally from Iran) and high school signee Ben Ahmed (originally from Nigeria).

With only Vukovic and Robert Jennings II returning from last season’s squad, OSU has had a ton of roster-building work to do this offseason. Summer workouts started this week, and the Cowboys have 13 of 15 spots filled.
