One OU Player Had to Share at Thanksgiving What He Hated About OSU
Ty Darlington grew up hating Oklahoma State. No, I mean he really grew up hating Oklahoma State. Here’s the Oklahoman.
“I grew up getting taught to hate Oklahoma State,” Darlington said Monday. “I think my grandpa’s quote was that they’re ‘subhuman.’” During Darlington’s freshman season in Norman, he went with some teammates to his aunt and uncle’s house in the Oklahoma City area for Thanksgiving.
“They wouldn’t let us eat until we went around the table and everyone gave a reason why they hated OSU,” Darlington said. “So I’ve been taught for a long time to hate those guys. At the same time, I know a lot of those guys up there. We’ve developed friendships with some of their guys. It’s going to be feisty. It’s going to be a great atmosphere.”
All in good fun … I think. And Darlington seems like a pretty good dude. He has some good stuff to say about OSU’s squad at the end of this video.
