OSU Baseball: Cowley Pitcher Kyler Zagar Commits to Cowboys
Zagar is from Perry.
A junior college pitcher is set to return to his home state and pitch for the Pokes.
Kyler Zagar, who spent this past season at Cowley in Kansas, announced Tuesday that he has committed to Oklahoma State.

Out of Perry, Zagar was a 6-foot-1, 185-pound freshman at Cowley this past season. A lefty, he appeared in 14 games for the Tigers in 2025, where he had a 10-1 record with a 2.77 ERA. In 65 innings pitched, Zagar struck out 73.
In what was probably his best outing of the year, Zagar threw seven scoreless innings against Fort Scott in April where he allowed just one hit and struck out nine.
OSU’s pitching staff will be under new leadership next season for the first time since head coach Josh Holliday took over. Longtime pitching coach Rob Walton retired, and Holliday hired Blake Hawksworth from Oregon to instruct the Cowboy hurlers. That group has built a bit through the portal over recent weeks with the additions of Kai Fyke (Central Arizona) and Hudson Barrett (UC-Santa Barbara).
