Saturday turned out to be a great evening to have a blowout recruiting weekend.

Not only did Mike Boynton and the basketball program have a number of big names on campus, but Mike Gundy and his staff did too, including a host of current commits and targets mixed in.

Here’s a look at the Cowboy commits who were at the game according to GoPokes.com.

  • 2019 QB commit Brendan Costello
  • 2019 TE commit Grayson Boomer
  • 2019 CB commit Demarco Jones
  • 2019 OL commit Joe Michalski
  • 2019 OL commit Taylor Miterko
  • 2019 CB commit Xavier Player
  • 2019 DT commit Xavier Ross
  • 2019 DE commit Kody Walterscheid
  • 2019 OL commit Preston Wilson
  • 2020 OL commit Eli Russ

As for other recruits, both those with offers and those without, here’s the big names who were also on campus. The biggest of the bunch here is 2019 RB Deondrick Glass, a big prospect at the top of OSU’s wish list. 2020 QB Jacolby Criswell, a four-star recruit, and 2020 OL Roger Rosengarten, who picked up an OSU offer this weekend, are two other big names who were in town.

  • 2019 RB Deondrick Glass
  • 2019 CB Coryn Bennett
  • 2019 WR Cade Cavender
  • 2019 OL Hazer Xanders
  • 2019 RB Aryion Welch
  • 2021 QB Aidan Thompson
  • 2019 RB Micah Snoddy
  • 2020 OL Roger Rosengarten
  • 2020 TE Nate Anderson
  • 2020 Zion Childress
  • 2020 OL Trace Anderson
  • 2020 OL Brandon Andrews
  • 2021 QB Alex Baker
  • 2020 DE Javan Bouton
  • 2020 DE Kaleb Biglow
  • 2020 QB Jacolby Criswell
  • 2022 QB Josh Hoover

Gundy on Monday pumped up OSU’s big recruiting weekend, saying he felt there were more than a dozen prospects who held offers in town to witness OSU’s 38-35 win over Texas.

“We had 23 big-time prospects there, and I think 20 of them were offers,” he said. “I’m going to guess all of them left saying this was a big-time college football environment. Makes a big difference when you’re recruiting against other schools that are trying to accomplish the same goals we are.”

It’s yet to be seen just how big an impact OSU’s massive win and stellar atmosphere will make from this weekend, but its top RB target meeting Barry Sanders and the rest of the bunch seeing the Pokes take down a top-10 team in a raucous atmosphere isn’t likely to hurt the ol’ reputation among prospects — nor is the end-game spectacle that saw Gundy and Herman get into a war of words.
