OSU Staying Tight With 2020 Shooting Guard Cade Cunningham
During Brad Underwood’s brief tenure in Stillwater, the coaching staff offered dozens of prospects in the Class of 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. One of those prospects, 2020 shooting guard Cade Cunningham, has remained close with OSU since the coaching turnover and Boynton’s hiring.
“Oklahoma State was my first offer. Mike Boyton was the assistant coach when they offered,” Cunningham told Rivals.com. “I didn’t know what to say when they offered. I was at a loss for words. It is just crazy. I didn’t think I was going to be here.”
The Arlington native now holds offers from Texas A&M, Tulane and OSU, with interest from SMU, USC, K-State and Houston. But OSU is in a good spot heading into the summer after remaining in close contact throughout the transition.
“I love the coaching staff and how they run their program,” Cunningham continued. “It is a really good program.”
