PFB Predictions: Oklahoma State-Kansas State

Published

on

Oklahoma State hosts Kansas State on Saturday in Stillwater, and if the last few years have been any indication, it’s not going to be enjoyable. Oklahoma State may win, but history says it’s going to be close. Somehow (I’m not even sure how this is possible), OSU has not only been outscored by KSU in the last nine meetings while going 6-3, but it also has an average winning margin of 5.1 points. Average!

Anyway, here are our picks for Saturday’s tilt.

Kyle Porter

Pick: Oklahoma State 45-21
Spread: Oklahoma State covers
Player of the Game: Jalen McCleskey

Rudolph is going to be a destroyer of worlds on Saturday, and McCleskey might be his primary guy on Saturday with Washington possibly hobbled and the whole planet aware of Ateman’s Moss-ness. Pokes big (finally) over Snyder’s Cats.

Kyle Boone

Pick: Oklahoma State 56-10
Spread: Oklahoma State Covers
Player of the Game: Justice Hill

Kansas State hasn’t won in Stillwater since 1999, and this Wildcats team is particularly challenged on the offensive side of the ball. I think OSU pounces early and doesn’t let up, giving us a glimpse at third quarter Corn Dog action.

Kyle Cox

Pick: OSU 45, KSU 35
Spread: K-State covers
Player of the Game: James Washington

Can’t keep a special player like the Prez down for long. I think we see a classic James Washington 8-catch, 150-yard, 2-TD Biletnikoff statement.

Hayden Barber

Pick: Oklahoma State 48-17
Spread: OSU covers
Player of the Game: Mason Rudolph

No turnovers, Kansas State is a fraud this year and always was. Let’s get Bedlam II as Tech rolls by 10+ over TCU. I’m hitting the catharsis point in the season. Mason will make a late push at the Heisman with an unexpected down class.

Phillip Slavin

Pick: Oklahoma State 48-24
Spread: Oklahoma State Covers
Player of the Game: Justice Hill

History be damned! OSU builds an early lead and rolls. Justice Hill sits in the 4th quarter but not before he racks up 150+ yards and 2 touchdowns. KSU redshirt freshman quarterback Skylar Thompson is forced to throw more than than KState would like and connects with OSU cornerback A.J. Green twice.

Justin Southwell

Pick: Oklahoma State 49-42
Spread: Oklahoma State does not cover
Player of the Game: Marcell Ateman

Kansas State always seems to play close games with Oklahoma State with 2014 as an outlier. I think we will be watching the Cardiac Cowboys do their thing once again.

Matt Harris

Pick- OSU: 49 KSU: 24
Spread- Pokes Cover
Player of the game- Justice Hill

Justice Hill ran for over 100 yards and Mason Rudolph threw for over 300 yards last week against an Iowa State defense that was considered to be one of the best in the Big 12. The Pokes will ride Justice again this week and this game will never be close.

Ryan Harris

Pick: Oklahoma State 49-21
Spread: Oklahoma State Covers
Player of the Game: Marcell Ateman

The Cardiac Cowboys normally come out in full force for Kansas State, but not this year. OSU has too many weapons for Kansas State to handle, especially when a few turnovers from the KSU offense set OSU up with a short field. Pokes roll over KSU.

Nick Welch

Pick: Oklahoma State 45-24
Spread: Oklahoma State covers
Player of the Game: Mason Rudolph

Guess who threw for over 400 yards on KState? Kansas!!!! Yes, the Jayhawks threw for 418 yards in a narrow 10-point loss to their in-state rival this season. Look for Rudolph to absolutely obliterate a mediocre Wildcat secondary on Saturday.
