The Pokes are double-digit favorites over the Horned Frogs.

The penultimate home game of the 2021 season for Oklahoma State is on deck Saturday, and it should be absolutely, positively electric. Boone Pickens Stadium is in for a blackout. Barry Sanders will get enshrined into the Cowboy Ring of Honor. And OSU, at 8-1, has a chance to add to that win tally over a TCU team it will be favored over by two touchdowns.

The Cowboys have fared well on their home turf all season and have yet to stumble in Boone’s house. And while two of the three home games they’ve played as double-digit favorites were decided by one score, this team has seemingly turned a corner since the Iowa State loss with dominant wins in consecutive weeks over Kansas and West Virginia.

Our staff is on board with the belief that another win could be on the way Saturday. Below are our predictions heading into the game.

Marshall Scott

Score prediction: OSU 24, TCU 10

Thoughts: OSU’s offense is showing signs of improvement, but I’m not sure it’s at the level of routing opponents quite yet. With that said, I expect Jim Knowles’ group to provide more of a challenge to new TCU quarterback Chandler Morris and for the Pokes to win this somewhat comfortably.

Kyle Boone

Score prediction: OSU 38, TCU 13

Thoughts: TCU played an inspired game last week in its 30-28 win over a really good Baylor team. But, at 4-5 on the season, I’m going to trust that the larger sample we’ve seen from this team this season is more indicative of the team we see this weekend. Which would mean that OSU’s huge edge as a double-digit favorite is warranted. I think OSU will come out firing in a night environment with the crowd behind it. Type of nationally-televised game that OSU under Gundy seems to be up for.

Kyle Cox

Score prediction: OSU 42, TCU 10

Thoughts: There’s no way the Cowboys lay an egg at this point, right? This defense is too good, and the Pokes offense has looked much more consistent as of late. OSU is as close to a trip to Arlington as its ever been, since the Big 12 title game was revived in 2017. The Cowboys have too much momentum going to look past anyone — especially a TCU team that just completed an upset win. I’m predicting a big win for the home team.
