As the recruiting cycle for 2020 nears completion, the Oklahoma State coaching staff has already begun making plans for 2021 and beyond. This month alone there’s been nearly a half-dozen new offers to prospective future Cowboys, so let’s catch up with a look at the new names on the football radar.

1. Tyren Irby, Class of 2020, Defensive End

The most notable recent offer, if only because he’s eligible to be on the roster as early as next season, Irby is a junior college defensive end from Northwest Mississippi with a 6-3, 235 pound frame. OSU is undoubtedly his biggest offer to date (dependent, I guess, upon how you view UAB and Liberty). He suffered a season-ending neck injury in 2017 that set back his potential leap to the FBS level, but he was productive last season and is off to a good start this season.

2. Ronald Williams, Class of 2020, Cornerback

A junior college prospect with a little more notoriety than Irby, Williams attends Hutchinson Community College, is rated a three-star by 247Sports, and holds offers from Texas Tech, Akron, West Virginia and Oregon State.

3. Jasper Lott, Class of 2021, Tight End

A pretty elite name (that somehow ranks second on this list. More on that in a second.), Lott is a towering 6-foot-5 tight end from Argyle, Texas with five offers: OSU, TCU, LSU, Vandy and Colorado. His father is John Lott, the head strength and conditioning coach for the Chargers. The elder Lott is a UNT alum.

4. Matthew Wykoff, Class of 2021, Offensive Tackle

Probably the most notable recruit on this list, Wykoff is just a three-star recruit, but at 6-foot-5, 277 pounds (for a junior), it’s no surprise that he’s already earned a dozen offers from the likes of Baylor, Missouri, Boston College, Cal and others.

5. Deuce Harmon, Class of 2022, Cornerback

What do we need to do to make this happen? Is starting a GoFundMe above board with the NCAA? Can we start a petition? I need a player named Deuce Harmon to be a regular in my life. It helps that he’s a pretty solid prospect, too. A Denton Guyer corner, he already has Texas A&M, TCU, SMU and OSU offers.
