The Reload is PFB’s recruiting recap catching you up to speed with the latest Oklahoma State recruiting news, with an ear to the ground for what to expect.

Outside linebacker target Tyree Wilson de-commits from Washington State

After a two-month long commitment to Washington State, West Rusk outside linebacker/defensive end Tyree Wilson announced that he is opening up his recruitment.

“I believe I should enjoy the recruitment process and pick a school that best fits me,” he said on Twitter.

Wilson is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound prospect who is a hybrid talent with the ability to play both as a stand-up edge rusher or as a down lineman in some schemes.

He opened up his recruitment after OSU, along with Tulane, Houston, Tulsa and New Mexico extended offers to him recently.

OSU likes him as a defensive end with his long, athletic frame, and he would fit nicely as a second defensive end in the Class of 2018 alongside Tyler Lacy of Sachse.

With his recruitment now open, don’t be surprised to see other big players join the mix. But right now, OSU appears to be in decent shape and now has his ear with his recruitment open.

Rising 2019 pass-rusher offered

On Friday, OSU extended an offer to Argyle Liberty Christian defensive end Isreal Isuman-Hundley, a 2019 prospect on the rise. It’s his second Division I offer that comes on the heels of a Baylor offer two weeks ago.

He is a 6-foot-6, 230-pound Nigerian-born recruit likely to explode on the recruiting trail this summer. He’s a raw talent new to the game of football but with tons of talent.

“I came here to play basketball,” Isuman-Hundley told Scout recently. “I was playing for Team Texas my eighth and ninth grade year and the Liberty Christian football coach saw me and told me that I have pretty good height to play football, I was like no sir I don’t know if I like football that much, but he said come out and try and see if you like it. I told him okay sir, I will come out and try my best. So the next day we were running and he said hey Israel do you want to catch this ball, and I was like yes of course, so they threw the ball too me and I broke my pinkie, so it was terrible the very first day I broke my pinkie.”

Isuman-Hundley made the switch from offense to defense shortly after, and the switch has already paid off. He was offered on Friday at OSU’s mini-camp.

Wide receiver target cuts OSU from list

Four-star 2018 receiver Ja’Marr Chase dropped his final cut of schools this week, and OSU is officially eliminated from the race. The Archbishop Rummel (Louisiana) prospect named TCU, LSU and Tennessee in his final three.

I’ve said all along I feel LSU is the favorite, and it appears his in-state option might indeed be his landing spot.

Fortunately for OSU, it is still in the hunt for Jonathan Shepherd and Miles Battle, and currently holds a commitment from elite Tulsa Union pass-catcher C.J. Moore.

Cornerback Dominic Cameron offered

Navarro junior college 2018 talent Dominic Cameron reported an offer from OSU on Friday. He is listed as a 5-foot-10 cornerback from Converse, Texas, who appeared in nine games last season.

He was not a highly recruited talent out of high school. But based on his spring football highlights, he appears capable of making the jump to Division I — although this offer appears to be a ploy to gain depth rather than starting cornerback caliber talent.

2019 wide receiver standout offered

Five-star 2019 receiver Arjei Henderson reported an offer Thursday, adding to an impressive offer sheet that now includes Alabama, LSU, Wisconsin, Tennessee and others.

Henderson was committed to the University of Oklahoma for some time before opening up his recruitment this spring. At 6-foot-1, he’s a speedy, quick-twitch talent who is smooth in and out of his breaks down the field.

OSU also has offers out to five-star 2019 receiver Devonta Lee and four-star OKC area receiver Demariyon Houston.
