The Reload is PFB’s recruiting recap catching you up to speed with the latest Oklahoma State recruiting news, with an ear to the ground for what to expect.

Rising 2019 power forward offered

It’s been awhile since OSU’s been affiliated with a talented athlete named Tyreek, right? Mike Boynton’s ready to change that.

Dallas area power forward Tyreek Smith is one of a handful of new targets to have emerged for the new head coach and his crew in the Class of 2019. Smith is a 6-foot-9 prospect who picked up an offer from TCU last fall, and also holds offers from OU, SMU and Texas A&M according to VerbalCommits.com.

OSU also has offers out to five-star Vernon Carey Jr. and Richardson standout Drew Timme at the power forward spot in the 2019 class.

Smith played on Houston Hoops on the AAU circuit this spring where he averaged 8.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Although Smith is unranked by 247Sports, he’s ranked as a four-star prospect by Scout.com.

Top-100 point guard offered

With close to 20 scholarship offers from the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Butler, Ohio State and others, OSU has jumped in the mix for four-star Georgia standout Will Richardson.

Richardson is a 6-foot-4 recruit ranked as the 53rd overall prospect in the Class of 2018.

As a junior last season, Richardson averaged 31.4 points, 5.3 assists, and 8.3 rebounds per game en route to a breakout performance on the recruiting trail nationally for Liberty County High School.

Much like Jawun Evans, Richardson can make an impact at every level of the game — and he’s an elite-level scorer (and lefty!) with plenty of ways to impact the game.

Kira Lewis, 2019 standout, offered

The aforementioned Richardson is a top-100 standout point guard in the 2018 class, and Lewis has the same credentials as a member of the 2019 class. Like Richardson, Lewis is a big-bodied point guard at 6-3 who can make his presence felt in a number of ways on the floor. He averaged 19.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.5 steals last season.

In addition to his new offer from the Pokes, Lewis also has scholarship opportunities at Alabama, Auburn, Dayton and a handful of small schools in the region. He’s rated as the 75th best prospect in the Class of 2019 and the No. 12 overall recruit at his position.

Florida point guard Michael Devoe offered

OSU was able to lure a top-level point guard talent in the Class of 2017 in Zach Dawson, and the staff is once again looking to capitalize on its recent Sunshine State success with an offer to 2018 point guard Michael Devoe.

Devoe is a highly-rated three-star talent in the 247Sports composite, and he averaged 23 points, seven rebounds and two steals last season.
