Rickie Fowler Walks at Rio Opening Ceremonies With … Interesting Haircut

Rickie is in Rio. U.S. golf Olympian Rickie Fowler flew to Rio to help kick off the Opening Ceremonies at the 2016 Olympics. He hung with Michael Phelps, met the U.S. diving team and generally seemed to enjoy himself.

“The Olympics has always been something I’ve enjoyed watching,” said Fowler. “What it stands for and seeing how much it means to these other athletes here. It just seems like a pretty amazing event, and I didn’t want to miss out on it.

“It’s been awesome. I’ve been getting checked in … getting to meet some of the other athletes, it’s pretty cool so far. There’s 10 days ahead.”

“I grew up watching the Olympics every four years, and even the Winter Olympics,” Fowler added. “But it was never a dream I was able to have. I always thought it was the pinnacle of everyone’s sport…it was kind of a dream come true that I wasn’t able to dream about before.”

I suppose we need to discuss the ‘do. It’s not good. There is no justification. I like Fowler, and he’s always been really kind and generous to me, but if I was advising him, this would not have happened. The Olympics is definitely a YOLO experience (especially for a golfer), and Fowler is matching the aura with his hair. Maybe the international female athletes will enjoy it.
