Thayer Evans has not been fired
This would have been a dream for OSU fans.
There were rumors on Twitter that Thayer Evans had been fired by Sports Illustrated because his name wasn’t showing up on the drop down box of writers on SI.com. That would, obviously, be a ridiculous move on SI’s part and even though there was a 99% chance it wasn’t true it would have absolutely been the greatest possible outcome for OSU.
Here’s a rebuttal by somebody who would know…
@JimMWeber He's still in the building working as we speak. As of a 15 minutes ago.

Also, crushed by this…
Maybe he was fired 14 minutes ago?

So the short answer is that no, Thayer Evans did not get fired.
The long answer (or long-term answer) is that it’s likely only a matter of time.
