Published

on

Saturday’s game was a wild one full of ups and downs, and good and bad. To be honest, it was a lot more good than bad, even with the win.

Here are some of the best and most interesting stats from Saturday’s game:

3: Justice Hill’s three rushing touchdowns on Saturday are his most in a single game this season and in his OSU career.

13: According to ESPN, since Mike Gundy was hired in 2005 OSU leads all of FBS with 13 comebacks of 14+ points. Three of those 13 were against Iowa State the last three years with comebacks of 17, 17, and 14 points.

6: OSU will finish it’s season a perfect 6-0 in true road games, and is the only team in the nation with a 6-0 road record. This is the third season under Gundy that OSU has finished the season with a perfect road record.

2-0, 0-2: OSU is 2-0 this season in road games against ranked opponents (West Virginia, Iowa State) but 0-2 against ranked opponents at home (TCU, OU).

33: Mason Rudolph added three more completions of 30+ yards to push his national lead to 33. All three of them came in the second half of the game.

28: Entering the day, Iowa State’s defense had allowed Big 12 offenses to score 17 total points in the second half of games. That includes seven for OU and zero for TCU and West Virginia. Oklahoma State scored 28.

56: Through 10 games, Justice Hill has 206 carries, the exact same number he had all of his freshman season. He has 56 more yards (1198 to 1142). Hill still has at least three games to go.

42: James Washington had one reception in the game, a 25-yard catch. It was enough to stretch his nation-leading run of consecutive games with a reception to 42.

80.6%: Rudolph completed 25 of his 31 passing attempts for a completion percentage of 80.6 percent, his highest since week one against Tulsa (83.3 percent).

Bonus

-19: Looking ahead to this coming Saturday, OSU has won five of the last seven games against Kansas State. However, The Wildcats have outscored the Cowboys by 19 points in those games. It’s been a close series.
