The Final Draw (PFB+): Performance vs UT Martin Suggests Bright Season for Christian Fitzpatrick
A deeper look at OSU’s Week 1 win.
Welcome to the first Final Draw of the season, and well ever.
This is going to be a near-weekly series following Cowboy football games where I break down hidden trends, stats and high-leverage moments in an attempt to provide deeper analysis where Oklahoma State is in both the present moment and what we can expect from the team in the future.
As with any good sports coverage, the depth provided should get better once we get a few games into the season. After all, it’s hard to build too many trends based on one game, especially against an FCS opponent, especially when a quarterback suffers a serious injury.
But there’s still a lot to break down.
Today’s Final Draw will examine:
- What went wrong with the O-line
- Player grades and insights
But first, let’s talk about why Oklahoma State’s No. 1 wide receiver isn’t who you might think.
